Cheese Straws
Ingredients
- 3 ½ Cups White Flour
- ¼ Teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
- ½ Teaspoon Salt
- 1 ½ Cups Butter
- 1 lb. Sharp Cheddar Cheese
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Mix flour, pepper and salt in a large bowl. Use pastry blender to work in butter. Work in shredded cheese with fingers.
- Chill 5 minutes.
- Roll out on a flour surface. Cut into 2 x 3 inch pieces.
Bake on ungreased baking sheet for 10 minutes. (Don’t let them brown)
